Windows: 25-year performance guarantee
Optima guarantees window performance for 25 years. This is a defined 25-year warranty, not a lifetime warranty.
- Parts and labour: Both are covered for the full warranty term, without pro-rating.
- Professional installation: End-to-end accountability with no subcontractors, using factory-trained and WindowWise-certified installers.
- 48-hour service response: The office will be in touch within 48 hours to outline the next steps. This is a response commitment, not a repair-completion deadline.
- Window performance: Draft-free windows throughout the 25-year warranty term.
- Interior condensation: Excluded from warranty coverage. Optima offers free humidity assessments and a Healthy Home humidity audit during the first winter following installation.
- One point of contact: Contact Optima directly for warranty service.
- Security guarantee: If a burglar enters through a locked, warranted Optima window fitted with a Roto multipoint lock with Corner Drive, Optima will pay the home insurance deductible.
- Accidental glass breakage: Covered for windows under this guarantee.
- Screen mesh: Bring the window screen to Optima for free mesh replacement.
- Roto hardware: Smooth, consistent operation guaranteed for 25 years, beyond manufacturing-defect coverage alone.
- Winter durability: Stress cracks occurring in the first year are replaced free of charge, including parts and labour.
- Installation records: Proof of purchase is not required because Optima keeps the installation records on file.
These are window warranty terms. Entry doors and patio doors have separate component-specific coverage described in their respective sections.
Sliding patio doors: component coverage
- Vinyl frame and sash: 25 years against blistering, peeling, flaking and corroding.
- Hardware: 25 years against defects.
- Insulating glass panels: 25 years against seal failure.
- Workmanship and mini blinds: 10 years.
- Exterior paint: 10 years against peeling, cracking and major discoloration not caused by exposure to sunlight, heat, noxious or abrasive materials.
Entry doors: limited warranty & conditions
Optima Windows & Doors warrants the door slab against defects in material and workmanship for 25 years from the date of purchase, provided recommended maintenance procedures are followed. If the purchase date cannot be provided, the warranty period begins on the date of manufacture.
Glass: 10-year limited warranty for seal failure only. Glass breakage is not covered. A glass defect must be visible at 1 meter (3 feet).
The warranty excludes components used in assembly of the pre-hung unit except the door slab itself. It does not cover deterioration or damage due to vandalism, fire or smoke, harmful liquids, or failure of paint applied after the original manufacturing process. There is no warranty beyond the terms described in the certificate.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, and is void if damage is due to improper installation, maintenance or use. Alterations other than normal use may void the warranty. Installing a storm door on an Optima door may void all warranties. Refer to the certificate for the full terms.
Window-specific accidental-glass and free-screen-mesh benefits do not apply to door products.

Regular cleaning, hardware maintenance and seasonal checks help keep your windows and doors operating properly. For steel and fiberglass entry doors, clean the slab every 3-6 months using mild dish soap and warm water, rinse and dry. Use non-ammonia glass cleaner on a cloth, not directly on finished surfaces. Clear debris and winter salt from frames and sills.
Maintain handles, locks and hinges annually. Lightly lubricate latches and deadbolts with silicone-based lubricant. Inspect weatherstripping twice a year, check frame caulking, touch up scratches with matching paint and keep sill drainage clear. Avoid abrasive cleaners, pressure washers, bleach, ammonia, acetone, paint thinners and solvents.
